Task Player Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 12, 2026
Overview
Task Player is an iOS task-management app for planning tasks by activity profile, working in parts, tracking time spent, and sharing private family task scopes. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Task Player does not track you across apps or websites and does not use advertising SDKs.
Data we collect
Task Player may collect the following data when you use the app:
How we use data
Data is used to provide app functionality, including account sign-in, task storage, offline sync, family sharing, attachments, task history, Live Activity and Apple Watch task projection.
Firebase Auth and Firebase Firestore are used for authentication, account identity and cloud sync.
User content
You are responsible for tasks, notes, links, attachments, names, comments and other content that you create, store or share through Task Player. Do not use the app to store or distribute unlawful, harmful, abusive or infringing content, or any material that you do not have the right to store or share.
Task Player provides tools for personal and shared task organization, but does not endorse, verify or approve user content. We do not proactively review private tasks. If content violates the law, another person's rights, platform requirements or service rules, it may be restricted or removed, and access to relevant features may be blocked.
If you believe shared-space content violates your rights or is unacceptable, contact support@ypn-player.com.
Storage and sync
Task Player stores app data locally on your device and syncs eligible records through Firebase Firestore when network access is available. Attachment metadata and payload chunks are stored in Firestore when you choose to attach files.
Private family scopes protect sensitive shared content before sync. Do not send passwords, recovery phrases or private task content to support.
Calendar access
Calendar Sync is not enabled in Task Player version 1.0. The app does not request calendar permission in this release and calendar events are not collected while the feature remains disabled.
Account and data deletion
You can delete your account inside the app from Settings, Profile, Delete Account. The app requires recent authentication before deletion.
Account deletion removes your Firebase Auth account, your private user data, your personal family scope, eligible task data owned by you, local cached app data, and locally stored private access data. Content you created inside another person's shared family may remain with that family. Shared public tasks that already have task parts may remain if other people may have work in progress.
Retention
App data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. Deleted account data is removed according to the in-app deletion flow, subject to backups, security, legal or operational retention requirements.
Children
Task Player is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Task Player changes its data practices, supported platforms or enabled features. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
